Backup, backup, backup! Do not just read these words, they live by those words. Doing it before it's too late. The backup is the only thing we should do everything, but many people do not. We hope that these wonderful machines (computers) that is used these days and days with all our data and images, and most of that is trust blind trust. Just because everything is working well with the world and our computer, as can be assumed, does not mean it forever.

All you need is forHard to get the block and everything is gone! No picture, no data more. The problem is not the opposite. It seems that in times in which we live our lives more and more on our computers and cause them to crash. A hard disk failure can mean losing everything now in a fire or flood, for all the valuable information that we keep on our computers.

How do you avoid that?

Well, the sad thing is that it is possible, but what you can do is make a backup copyInformation you have on your computer in case something happens. Most people are not saved, at least not until they lose everything. Consider just a new baby. You just take a nice, new digital camera with a ton of baby photos, documenting every day of their lives. After 1 year the hard drive crash, and on this drive every single picture you took the child has been ... gone.

A whole year of memories are gone. If mediayour OK. If you do not then you probably are gone forever. If the idea goes back up to you then you can scare us into creating receive a backup copy.

The first thing I do when I uploaded the photos from the camera to my computer from a backup copy first. (note the technique will be slightly different, depending on how you) their images on your computer and operating system. I use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to upload and edit my photos.Lightroom gives you the possibility of a backup on your images when you upload them. I have an external hard drive that I connect to my computer via the USB port and I chose Lightroom then does the rest. Insert a copy on my computer and my external hard drive.

If you do not change with Lightroom to upload your images, or you can even with the external hard drive. All you have to do is afterupload images to your computer, connect the external drive and copy the images on your hard drive or burn them to CD or DVD. Now the pictures are pretty sure is because you have 2 copies of every individual a right? Wrong! In theory, the images are safe and protected, if the disk fails, but now I'm sitting on a CD or DVD or another hard drive.

All of these media is still relatively new and we begin to learnthe boundaries of these media. as CD or DVD is not forever. There are limits to the duration of life. These limits are the quality of the dye that is used on the hard drive based. They must be stored in a cool, dry conditions in a protective case.

You should probably save this disk or external hard drive somewhere off-site in case something happens (and I never I hope) to your home. If the disk or disks in yourHome and keep your computer and is an accident, fire or anything else then both copies are gone.

Of course, you can set the floppy or hard disk in a fire / waterproof safe, protect them, if you're not on the spot and save it.

Am I paranoid? Maybe, but you have to be. If you have lost your photos, you can too. There are many ways to protect data in a computer. The problem is, if not used then will not do you any good.Do not wait until it's too late and you lost all the pictures of last year ....
